Fetal MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is a non-invasive imaging technique that uses strong magnets and radio waves to create detailed images of your baby’s internal structures. Unlike ultrasound, which is commonly used during pregnancy, Fetal MRI offers enhanced clarity and can help assess complex conditions that may not be visible through ultrasound alone.
The procedure is straightforward and typically lasts about 30 to 60 minutes. You will be asked to lie on a cushioned table that slides into the MRI machine, which is shaped like a large tube. The machine will capture detailed images while you remain still.
