Building a legacy throughout the years, Dr Zohra Ahmad the founder of AVA Clinics & Fetal Centre has built the diagnostic centre to serve the population with the utmost diligence and dedication. AVA Clinics & Fetal Centre was initiated by Dr. Zohra Ahmad, an expert radiologist with more than 12+ years of overall experience. After completing her MBBS from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi in 2010, she obtained her post-graduation MD – Radio Diagnosis/Radiology training at AIIMS Delhi in 2013. Dr. Zohra Ahmad was awarded Fellow of the Royal College of Radiology from the Royal College of Radiology UK in 2018.

She is trained and received one year fellowship training at Mediscan Chennai by the pioneers of fetal medicine in India Dr Suresh Seshadri and his expert team.

Dr Zohra has 6 plus years as faculty in Guwahati Medical College before moving towards her own venture – AVA

Dr Zohra Ahmad started AVA Clinics & Fetal Centre in 2023 for a modern approach with state-of-the-art ultrasound and diagnostics services, fetal medicine, womens imaging, genetic counselling, ultrasound-guided intervention, adult echocardiography/ECG and doctor consultation.

Dr Zohra has numerous publications in multiple national and international scientific journals and is a sought after speaker at state and national level conferences.

Dr. Zohra Ahmad saw the importance of proper diagnostics and initiated the path towards creating AVA Clinics & Fetal Centre with the dedication to providing exceptional diagnostic services.

Dr Zohra Ahmad has multiple accolades to her name as she gained memberships of the prestigious IRIA, Fellow of the Royal College of Radiology, International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG) and Fellow of the Royal College of Radiology. Dr Zohra Ahmad started AVA Clinics & Fetal Centre in 2023 for a modern approach with state-of-the-art ultrasound and diagnostics services, genetic counselling, ultrasound-guided intervention, adult echocardiography/ECG and doctor consultation.

What Exactly Is Fetal Medicine And How Does It Help?

Fetal medicine consultants specialize in the diagnosis and management of fetal conditions. Their expertise encompasses a broad spectrum of care, ranging from routine ultrasound screening for low-risk pregnancies to complex interventional procedures for high-risk cases.

While most pregnancies progress without complications, fetal medicine consultants collaborate closely with obstetricians to develop tailored care plans when challenges arise. For instance, in cases of suspected chromosomal abnormalities, diagnostic procedures such as amniocentesis or chorionic villus sampling (CVS) may be recommended. These procedures provide crucial information to guide prenatal care, delivery planning, and postnatal support for both the mother and child.
